When I first heard God referred to as “The God of Surprises”, this descriptive title for the great, “I Am”, I instantly had a huge smile form across my face. I resonated with this title for our good God, for he is full of surprises! How many times in your life have you had a plan. Maybe it was a career path you imagined you would follow until retirement or a relationship that you thought would last the test of time but there have been surprises that totally changed your course along the way. God, has a way of effecting change in our lives.
In this life I’ve learned from the surprises of life. Often enough in hindsight those surprises we thought were not welcome in the moment, many times turn out to be a big blessing that will lead you closer to God’s will for your life.
The God of Surprises always amazes me! He is so good! I am just a simple soul trying to find my way in this world. Just like you! If you are seeking meaning in life or just trying to figure out what path God wants you on, I hope you enjoy this blog. Many of the subjects I write about are based on searching, seeking God’s will and moments of time that have impacted my heart in this life. I have been surprised all along The Way. God only allows circumstances that will make us stronger and bring us closer to him. Many times through the unexpected surprises he gives us opportunities to be a witness of his love to others.
No matter where you are in this life, remember God knows your heart. Believe in him. Trust in him. All your hopes are secure in his sacred heart. I don’t know about you, but I love surprises! Let go and let him guide your path.
