In every circumstance we can give thanks to God. We can thank him in adversity and affliction. We can thank him for his graces both seen and unseen in this life. For the graces and blessings that are yet to come.
When contemplating on the divine, I wonder and am in awe of the magnificence of our God. I like to remind myself how God is above time, in the sense that he created time. He is not subject to time as I am. He knows what tomorrow holds…
He knows my story! As long as I continually trust in him and allow him to be the author, he will write the best story for me. He can write the best story for you! All you need to do is trust in him. Let him guide you in every decision.
God has placed people in my life that have impacted me beyond what words can describe. These are the beautiful glimpses of God revealed to me and which gives me hope to live this life well, to endure. I am better for knowing these precious people. To know and have true friends is such a rare gift in this often shallow world full of self-centeredness. I know my purpose in this life, as I have always felt it deep within my heart. I was placed on this earth to give, to give my love, I have always felt a call to love. To love others, to be the best friend, daughter and sister that I can be. I want to be be unhurried and present with the people I love, I want them to know I am there for them no matter what, that they are my priority.
I don’t watch much tv (as there is too much life to live) but the other day while watching TBN an evangelical pastor made a suggestion that I took to heart. He said, “What if you pray for ten minutes before each meeting with friends, loved ones or anyone, if you prayed prior…” Maybe you won’t always have ten minutes but what if you took a moment, just a moment. To ask the Holy Spirit to guide and bless your meeting, your time with your friend, family member or a loved one. Imagine the power of the blessings and the direction you will be led in all your interactions and maybe you will be the instrument that leads others to God.
Proverbs 17:17
All I know is a Friend Loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
